I completed my undergraduate studies in Psychology at UCLA before earning a Master’s in Teaching from USC.

Background |
I am happy to be a new member of the Jack London team! I am from Southern California. I’ve been teaching since 2018. My favorite subjects are languages, history, cultures, science, and child development. My goal is to help all of my students become tech-savvy, highly literate, independent, compassionate, critical thinkers.
I have a multicultural background and have always loved learning about our world. I believe it is important for students to learn about the various elements of cultures, including languages, music, food, and traditions. I myself have formally studied quite a few languages (Spanish, Thai, Korean, Mandarin, ASL), but still need a lot more practice to become fluent! I aim to create a classroom community that feels safe, fun, and welcoming. I encourage students to have a growth mindset, improve on their strengths, challenge themselves, and find ways to express their individuality. Besides teaching, I have spent time tutoring students with learning differences, working in after-school programs, advocating for foster youth, providing support to homeless youth, teaching skills to adults with mental health challenges, and caring for rescued horses! When I’m not focusing on work, I enjoy jogging, reading, puzzles, weightlifting, nature walks, board games, traveling, video games, cooking, baking, and learning new things. |
