Background

​​I was born in Palo Alto, and moved to Occidental, Sonoma County in my early years to be raised near the ocean in the redwood forest. In my adult years I have spent time playing with children, raising children, and learning about their development through observation as well as through formal study. As an educator, I believe in fostering the whole child and that every student should receive an education that is designed around their needs. In school, I set high expectations for all students. Perseverance helps students gain independence and self-esteem. I am committed to diversity, caring, and respect for the dignity and worth of all individuals. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family in nature, cooking, reading, and gardening.
