In 2014, Patricia Ashley Wong graduated from Independence High School with a Magna Cum Laude honor. She then graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Child Adolescent and Development from San Jose State University for four years, earning Dean scholar honor awards. From there, she did long-term substitute teaching at the Berryessa Union School District, especially at her childhood elementary school - Brooktree Elementary. In early 2022, she was hired by the Piner-Olivet Union School District where she substituted until she became an pre-intern teacher here at Jack London in August. She is currently enrolled in the credentialing preservice program of the North Coast School of Education.

Ms. Wong was born in San Jose, California under a Chinese and Filipino heritage. She has recently moved to Santa Rosa to be with her fiance and is currently to be wedded in March, 2023. Ms. Wong has a big heart for student’s well being and shows much dedication in her work of teaching. She believes students should be taught with a caring heart and grow to be self independent learners in all of their work. In her free time, she loves to create art, watch movies, and is a big fan of Disney.
